What is a Slot?

slot

A narrow notch, groove or opening, as in a keyway in machinery or a slit for coins in a vending machine.

A slot in a machine that holds coins or paper tickets to activate a payout when the handle is pulled or pushed. Slots are usually located on the top or side of a casino game, but they can also be found in the middle of the screen for video slots and online games.

The number of different symbols on the reels that spin vertically in a slot machine after you place your bet. Modern games use random number generators to determine winning or losing results, and the reels display these on the screen. Reels can have one, three or five rows of symbols and multiple pay lines.

In addition to paying out for matching symbols, some slot machines offer other special features such as scatters or wilds that can increase your chances of hitting a winning combination or trigger bonus events. You can find more information about these features in the pay table on a game’s website or by looking for it on the machine itself.

You can map values to slot types by creating a custom regular expression (regex). For example, if you want your bot to match flight codes, you can create a regex pattern such as (A-Z)(2d3,4$). You can then select the “Use this as a slot type” checkbox and enter the regex pattern for your bot to recognize.
